Electricity Generation

Wind energy leads the renewable sources with 33.3%, solar power follows at 12.1%, biomass contributes 10%, while hydroelectric power holds a smaller share at 4.9%.

Coal accounts for 26.9% and gas for 10.8%. Nuclear power represents a small fraction at 1.6%, reflecting the country's ongoing phase-out.

Fossil fuels account for 38% of Germany's electricity generation, with renewable sources dominating at 60.4%. Nuclear energy contributes a modest 1.6%.
