🌍 Renewables
Renewables supplied 23.1% of generation. Solar led at 9.8% thanks to strong rooftop and utility-scale deployment. Hydropower contributed 7.8%, bioenergy 4.5%, and wind 1.1%. Other renewables remained negligible.

⚛️ Nuclear Energy
Nuclear energy generated 8.3% of Japan’s electricity. Following phased reactor restarts, nuclear has regained a modest share, balancing emissions goals with public safety concerns.
